Sudoku

Have you heard of Sudoku? No, it's not a fancy name for the Asian Bird Flu. And it's not something you put on your hot dog. It's a number puzzle, and one of my new favorite things.

According to Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, Sudoku is a Japenese word for a numerical logic puzzle. Each Sudoku is made up of a grid. To complete the grid, use digits 1 through 9, but each digit can only exist ONCE in each row, each column and each box.

My favorite Sudoku site is Sudoku Online, sponsored by the Daily Telegraph (a British newspaper) and the Los Angeles Times. This site offers a new Sudoku puzzle each day at 6:00PM Central Time. You can email in your response which gives you a chance to win a Sudoku book! The degree of difficulty varies, and if you're ready for more challenge, they also offer a Jigsaw Sudoku which will really give your brain a workout!

(Um, Dad, if you're reading this, don't stay up too late working on these. I don't want to be held responsible for the repercussions from LAISA - Librarians Against Irresponsible Sudoku Addicts.)

Comments:
oh no... not Librarians Against ________ (fill in the blank)! Those Librarians can really ruin your all night reading adventures and now, Sudoku! What's next?
